Job Description
Position Purpose:
The main goal of the Senior Content Marketing Manager is to develop and execute a content marketing strategy and write and edit content to support thought leadership, go-to-market, and sales and client enablement content. In addition to editing and writing duties, this manager will also support RFP development and editing. Flexibility and teamwork are essential in this rapidly expanding and highly visible marketing communications function. Key Job Activities:
  • Works with larger Marketing team to strategize messaging and create content for internal and external communications.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, design, sales, and external influencers / industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our target audiences.
  • Create, edit, and/or repurpose copy for websites, downloadable content, solution marketing, sales enablement, and client enablement.
  • Interview subject matter experts when needed to produce thought leadership content that drives engagement with customers, prospects, and industry experts.
  • Manage the content calendar, remaining agile and flexible as needs change
  • Work with internal writing resources and external vendors to manage content projects.
  • Review and optimize existing content as needed.
  • Drive the brand and reinforces culture across all audiences through the use of content.
  • Follow industry-related news and social media sites to generate ideas around trending topics.
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to create concepts that reflect the brand voice.
  • Proofread all content before publishing with a fine eye for detail and knowledge of various writing standards, including AP and Harvard style.
  • Work with the design team to create graphics for proposals, executive summaries, and sales presentations
  • Assist the proposal development process as a lead proposal manager serving as a writer and editor and finalizing the response for submission by sales.
  • Develop and pitch ideas for content that will support all stages of the marketing and sales funnel.
  • Edit or rewrite existing copy as necessary.
  • Through ongoing research, drive a culture of innovative thinking across the Marketing function by sharing knowledge and expertise with the team.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Education: Preferred Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent Experience (North America & LATAM):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or English preferred
  • 5-7 years of general marketing experience preferably in a content-focused role
  • 5+ years professional journalism experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Expert level writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in writing short and concise copy, as well as larger, more complex technical projects
  • Experience creating content for a variety of mediums and channels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and agencies
  • Analytical, strategic, and creative thinking
  • Multi-task oriented
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred
  • Must work well independently
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage several projects at the same time
  • Attention to detail a must
