Job Description
The Federal Savings Bank, a leading private bank and national lender, is seeking a Consumer Loan Coordinator to support the rapidly expanding the Consumer/Personal Lending division in our Chicago, IL headquarters. The Federal Savings Bank Consumer Loan Coordinator wears many hats and is best suited for individuals with some previous related experience. The ideal candidate for this role will possess two to five years of Loan Coordinating, Administrative Assistant, Personal Banker, Collections, and/or Loan Assistant experience. The position is based in Chicago and will require coming to Chicago office 2-3 times a week starting March 2021.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as a primary source of contact for clients throughout the granting process of loan, right from the initial stage of inquiry to its final close out
- Execute front end processing procedures that include gathering the relevant financial and legal documents and ordering the related reports necessary for further processing
- Prepare and submit the loan files for final approval to the underwriting department
- Conduct a quality control audit of the previous database before closing it
- Coordinate and ensure proper completion of all the documentation for the borrower and loan provider
- Cultivate and maintain department relations with different associations, community partners, and vendors
- Provide support to all assigned areas of the department where service or assistance is needed; acts as a backup for various loan department positions and functions
- Answers the telephone; responds to routine loan officer or customer inquiries relative to account balances, loan balances and payoff requests.
- Assists with preparation of loan files and documentation requests for internal and external audits/exams.
- Sort and distributes daily and monthly loan reports to applicable branches or departments.

Job Requirements
- 4 year college degree or commensurate related experience
- 2 + years of industry experience in any type of lending (Personal loans, Auto loans, HELOCs, Mortgage)
- Administrative and/or customer service background
- Familiarity with Encompass and other similar loan origination software preferred
- Autonomous and internally motivated
- Ability to manage and lead a loan process
- Great attitude, both to internal team and customers
- Favorable credit and background required
