Consumer Insights Analyst

The Consumer Insights Analyst represents and advocates for the Voice of our Guests to drive consumer empathy and understanding for Red Robin, the assigned Project Teams and the initiatives supported. The Analyst is responsible for designing, collecting, mining, analyzing and reporting on consumer feedback; generating on-going and ad hoc reporting; developing key findings and implications; and making recommendations to drive Guest-led decision-making. Additionally, the Analyst oversees and manages consumer databases, works independently and with outside vendors and agency partners, represents the CI perspective in Project Team meetings and serves as the competitive activity monitor for the team. Consumer Insights supports all areas of the business, including Operations, Business Transformation, Human Resources, IT, Brand, Strategy, Advertising, and Menu/ Culinary. This role will be primary support in one or several of these but should expect exposure and growth in multiple areas based on business needs and growth.

Responsibilities:

Analysis and Reporting of Guest Feedback from Operations 45%

  • Provides insights and actionable direction through the design, execution and analysis of qualitative and quantitative studies, through 3rd parties, 3rd party tools and self- service tools for Operations, HR, Food Safety, Quality Assurance and other Teams as needed
  • Develops and produces Voice of Guest reporting for dine-in and off-premise execution and initiatives, including on-going tracking, periodic reviews and ad-hoc requests to help drive business decisions and ground the organization in the Guest perspective; is a strong advocate for the Voice of the Guest in the development of strategies and programs for Red Robin
  • Provides quarter-end reporting on Guest metrics to Finance Team for incorporation into Board presentations
  • Completes monthly pulse surveys on salient business topics in conjunction with our Loyalty team
  • Serves as a liaison for the field to triage and solve issues related to Guest Feedback Reporting portal

Business Transformative Guest Feedback Analysis and Reporting 45%

  • Manages the development, execution, analysis and results presentation of Guest learnings for off-premise (To-Go, Catering, Ghost Brands) tests and tracking/analysis for national launches
  • Partners with project teams to build, execute, and analyze custom research solutions and make recommendations on next steps, all based on the learning objectives and business needs for the various teams working on Business Transformation initiatives

Competitive Analysis/Monitoring/Tracking 10%

  • Mines secondary sources for insights into consumer, business and environmental trends to address business questions
  • Provides bi-weekly reviews of business activity from key competitors, including listening to and summarizing earnings calls. Is responsible for contributing a quarterly summary for the Board

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in marketing, marketing research, math/statistics, data analytics, economics, psychology, or similarly related discipline required
  • Relevant Master’s degree preferred, but not necessary
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing research required, with experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Restaurant industry or hospitality industry experience preferred

Compensation Range: $54,940.00 - $77,310.63
