Construction Superintendent

Owen Ames Kimball Co. is an employee owned, Florida based corporation providing construction management services to Southwest Florida since 1982. The Superintendent’s responsibility is to supervise the construction of a project, or projects, and to complete the work with a high degree of quality, on schedule, and within the budget.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Scheduling and Coordination of all subcontractors, vendors, consultants, etc.
• Ensure all subcontractors adhere to safety policies and all OSHA regulations.
• Ensure all quality control standards are met.
• Coordination of all required inspections.
• Ensure the project stays on schedule. Provide schedule updates and 3 week look ahead schedules
• Attend all OAC meetings
• Conduct weekly or bi-weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Complete daily logs and take progress photos.
• Maintain good relationships with Clients, Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, and Inspectors

Required Skills include, but are not limited to the following:

• Must have strong technical and communication skills
• Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Must have experience reading plans and specifications
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to stand alone on projects
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment
