The Superintendent’s responsibility is to supervise the construction of a project, or projects, and to complete the work with a high degree of quality, on schedule, and within the budget.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Scheduling and Coordination of all subcontractors, vendors, consultants, etc.
- Ensure all subcontractors adhere to safety policies and all OSHA regulations.
- Ensure all quality control standards are met.
- Coordination of all required inspections.
- Ensure the project stays on schedule. Provide schedule updates and 3 week look ahead schedules
- Attend all OAC meetings
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Complete daily logs and take progress photos.
- Maintain good relationships with Clients, Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, and Inspectors
Required Skills include, but are not limited to the following:
- Must have strong technical and communication skills
- Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Must have experience reading plans and specifications
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to stand alone on projects
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment
