THE JOB…Primary responsibility is providing General Superintendent oversight for assigned projects, trains others on proper superintendent best practices, including executing a rigorous safety program.
This individual will not only understand construction, delegate effectively, and lead admirably, but will also have our company motto, “Connected to Our Customers’ Vision”, as their daily mantra.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for total construction effort, such that it is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Responsible for productivity of subcontractors, efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the project.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, etc).
• Perform and/or monitor job site control measures, such as daily reports, labor payroll, quality reports and accident reports.
• Supervise subcontractors as required by contract. Constantly review field production, analyze and improve where necessary.
• Supervise, train, evaluate, and discipline staff.
• Authorize and/or approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, and other administrative change requests.
• Provide technical assistance (i.e. interpret drawings, recommend construction methods and equipment, etc.) as required.
• Ensure that all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements and work rules. Document all violations and notify project management. Recommend and implement corrective actions as required.
• Maintains an organized, clean and SWPPP compliant job site, including the construction office.
• Schedules and coordinates all building inspections as necessary throughout the project.
• Attends all trade inspections.
• Serves as liaison with city officials.
• Create, submit, and track RFIs and RFI responses
• Must be able to identify and solve problems independently.

Requirements

• 6+ years of functioning in a Superintendent Role
• Healthcare Tenet Improvement and Ground-Up experience a Plus
• Knowledge of generally accepted means and methods for commercial construction.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work well within a deadline driven environment.
• Perform functions efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision.
• Must maintain a professional attitude and conduct oneself in positive manner at all times.
• Must respect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Must be able to perform in fast paced, changing environment.
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
