Job Description

The Tradesmen Group, Inc. takes exceptional pride in the preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration of significant structures throughout the United States. As a full-service building rehabilitation/restoration company, TTG self-performs multiple trades including all aspects of historic masonry restoration, roofing, architectural metalworking, carpentry, painting & more.

TTG is seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to supervise and manage all on-site activities for large-scale restoration projects throughout the United States, including travel to sites. Superintendent will lead projects from NTP to final closeout ensuring the highest possible client satisfaction, superior quality work, and exceptional safety standards with a constant awareness of project schedule and cost controls. Experience in historic restoration is preferred but not required.

Superintendents must regard safety as an absolute priority. A qualified superintendent must be able to demonstrate a tangible commitment to safety on the job site as well as a general mindset of risk mitigation throughout all operations. Superintendent will also be charged with upholding company culture for integrity amongst all crew members. Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding plans, specs, schedules, scopes of work, and budget provided by Project Manager.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction with a minimum of 3 years in supervisory roles.
  • Must have proficiency with both oral and written communications and professionalism in daily communications with management, crew, clients, subcontractors, vendors, project stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Advanced competency with computers including Office 365, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of the universal type and swing stage scaffold systems and experience working on projects in downtown settings.
  • Experience with the use of cranes and crane/rigging operations.
  • Applicants are required to pass a background check for the Dept. of Homeland Security.
  • The job requires OSHA 30-hour training certification.

Majority of work is Prevailing Wage. Top-level compensation and benefits for well-qualified superintendents with overtime offered.
