Yeh and Associates, Inc. is currently seeking highly qualified professionals with experience in highway construction and transportation-related projects. These positions will provide management of construction activities, inspection and construction observation, cultural and environmental compliance oversight, and contract compliance in and among the most beautiful landscapes within the United States and its territories.
Candidates will be selected from various locations throughout the United States to provide regional resources for various project assignments. Travel expenses, including lodging and per diem allowances, company vehicle, health insurance, 401k matching, paid leave, and industry competitive wages, are all part of the package. Naturally, the ability to travel for extended periods will be necessary for many assignments.
. Requirements:
Minimum experience requirements include registration as a Professional Engineer; or Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field, with three years on-site project administration, or a minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience as an on-site construction inspector.
A candidate must have the ability and skills to interpret transportation construction contracts, specifications, and plan interpretation, and apply knowledge and experience to facilitate the smooth and efficient completion of construction projects.
A successful candidate needs to be proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Word, One Note, Outlook, Excel, and project scheduling software.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in context-sensitive design principles; safety and labor laws and requirements, value engineering proposals, quality control/quality assurance principles; traffic control; materials, and construction methods. The ideal candidate will also be Capable of performing material testing for aggregates, asphalt concrete pavement, Portland cement concrete pavement and embankment.
An exceptional candidate will have experience with on-site construction inspection services involving environmentally sensitive areas such as National Forests, Fish and Wildlife Refuges, and National Parks. It is highly beneficial that a candidate possesses experience in construction oversight of environmental mitigation for wetlands, threatened and endangered species, cultural and historical resources, hazardous materials, wild and scenic rivers, wildlife and fisheries, noise, visual, water, and air quality, and interagency coordination of environmental concerns.
