What You'll Do: As a Construction Materials Department Manager, you strive to lead both your team and your profits. You have extensive experience both out in the field as well as handling the “business” side of construction materials testing. Engineers, technicians, and project managers look to you for mentoring both technically and in building client relationships. You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team - and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:
- Managing CMT services and running the materials testing department
- Business Development and consulting engineering
- Leading well, being a team builder, and making decisions skillfully
- Project management, proposal and report review and preparation
- Overseeing quality control, report review, and management of projects
- Managing a profitable P&L
- Mentoring and managing junior and senior field and laboratory staff
- Working on CMT field and laboratory projects
- Working on geotechnical engineering assignments
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university; MS in Civil Engineering preferred
- 8 – 10 years of experience in CMT services and geotechnical engineering in the local market
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within three months
