Job Description

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

Join our Employee-Owned Company as a Construction Laborer for SGH Concepts, a division of SGH Redglaze Holdings, Inc. This position is based out Omaha, NE and will perform tasks involving physical labor at medium to heavy construction project sites. The Laborer will be guided by the lead installer on each project and is an entry level position with plenty of room for advancement with daily on the job training.

The Laborer may operate a variety of hand/power tools, clean and prepare sites, organize tools, utilize chop saws, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble/debris, as well as remove waste materials. The position may assist other craft workers.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to understand, follow instructions, and ask questions
  • Join materials with nails, screws, rivets, or adhesives
  • Use levels, rulers, and squares to ensure everything is level, plumb and secure
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor, dealing with heavier metal panel construction projects
  • House cleaning job site: picks up all tools and equipment to eliminate potential hazards
  • Performs material handling and storage
  • Loads/unloads trucks, hauls/hoists materials
  • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and brings problems to the attention of the foreman/superintendent
  • Working in Ariel equipment up to 120?, ladders, and on the rooftops of buildings
  • Communicate with Foremen on project details
  • Have general knowledge of basic hand and power tools
  • Performs work in accordance with job specifications and safety

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • Safety procedures in the work environment will be exercised at all times
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles on job sites, moving mechanical parts and vibration
  • The position is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites - The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud
  • The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather; heat and humidity, cold temperatures, snow, rain and exposure to dust and debris
  • Occasionally this position will require long hours and possible Saturday work

  • Knowledge and experience within the construction industry
  • Forklift Certification
  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30
  • 1st Aid/CPR Certification
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
