- Supervise operational personnel (field staff), including resource coordination, dispatch, internal quality control, and management of daily deliverables.
- Communicate with clients, staff, and supervisors to successfully and profitably deliver construction services projects on a consistent basis.
- Coordinate work to assure projects/contracts are properly managed thereby assuring we achieve budgets and schedules are met and work product meets both client’s needs and Kleinfelder’s standards.
- Target and achieve results based goals, sets challenging goals, prioritizes tasks, overcomes obstacles, accepts accountability, sets team standards and responsibilities, provides leadership/motivation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for staff.
- Work with CoMET staff to sell Kleinfelder’s services to new and existing clients aligned with Kleinfelder’s business plan.
- As needed, provide construction materials testing and inspection service in support of ongoing projects.
- Represent Kleinfelder to local professional organizations.
- A minimum of five years of related construction management, engineering, or quality assurance inspection or testing experience.
- At least two years of project management is required, including experience with direct client interaction, as well as the ability to plan, organize, execute, and direct various size projects.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with pipeline construction including permits, specifications, procurement, installation, environmental concerns, and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization and multi-tasking ability.
- A good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrity.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction related engineering field (e.g. civil, structural, architecture), construction management or technology, or similar is preferred, but not required.
- Preference will also be given to candidates with applicable construction inspection and testing certifications from the American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC), National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET); Nuclear density gauge safety, handling, operation, and transporting training/certification.
