Greiner Buildings is seeking candidates for the role of Construction Foreman working out of our Urbandale, Iowa location. The ideal candidate will have 2 years or more of leadership/supervisory experience in the post frame construction or general carpentry industry. We offer year-round work with plenty of room for advancement.
Note: We can only consider candidates with a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction crewmen through all phases of construction.
- Inspect blueprints and materials lists to ensure all aspects of the project are understood and can be executed.
- Coordinate with the Area General Manager and Project Manager to ensure construction jobs are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide professional leadership and training of crew members.
- Lead by example in creating a safe, organized work environment. Follow all current OSHA and Greiner Buildings guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure crew members, including new hires, are fully trained and follow all safety and construction procedures.
- Performs and promotes safe and proper use and maintenance of all tools and equipment.
- Ensure job sites are kept clean and orderly.
- Must excel at problem solving and customer service.
- Complete accident/incident reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Two years of prior construction experience with prior supervisory/leadership in the construction industry.
- Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Capability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet.
- Willingness to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
Pay & Benefits:
Greiner Buildings offers a competitive, escalating pay scale based on experience and performance.
- Hourly rate depending on experience. Get paid weekly!
- Time-and-a-half paid for any hours worked above 40 per week.
