JOB SUMMARY:
Facilitates the construction-related activities necessary to complete new construction and renovation projects, under occasional guidance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the collection of documentation for compliance with regulations.
- Checks that all contractors are properly trained and adhere to all applicable safety regulations and policies.
- Ensures the least amount of disruption to the operations and daily functions of the organization.
- Coordinates daily activities during the construction phase of projects which can include invoice review and approval, problem resolution, timeline coordination, etc.
- Assists construction team in achieving final completion of the projects, coordinates with organization staff for training as necessary, participates in inspections, maintains proper documentation of permits and shutdowns.
TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS (NOVICE):Demonstrates the ability to oversee and facilitate the installation of equipment and components for a project to ensure contractors are fulfilling all obligations and that work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications, and schedules.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE (NOVICE):- Demonstrates knowledge of the appropriate rules and regulations and apply them in difficult, stressful and complex situations. Able to interpret and explain rules and regulations that are ambiguous or unclear. Directs others in interpreting rules and regulations on the job and trains others in them.

PROJECT COORDINATION - (NOVICE):- Reviews specific project related documents for completeness and accuracy and ensures project status reports are received, when due, from project managers for all approved projects. Provides administrative and logistics support for various project meetings, training, workshops and facilitated sessions. Coordinates and tracks all work requests to ensure on time project delivery. Keeps project plans updated and ensures key milestones and dependencies are understood. Responsible for record keeping for project meetings such as issues logs, gap analysis sheets, meeting minutes, making copies, team event planning and execution, team travel, on-boarding activities for contractors or consultants, set up and maintenance of project repositories.
