Construction Apprentice

Job Description:

• Assist other team members, such as carpenters and concrete finishers, in construction activities
• Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas
• Erect, dismantle, sort and clean concrete forms and barricades at construction sites
• Place and spread concrete and handle related materials
• Rake and shovel earth to fine grade specifications using rake. trowel, and/or shovel
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers as directed
• Signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills:

• Good recommendation from former employer or references, especially related to desire to succeed, punctuality, and dependability
• Reasonable fluency in English language
• Ability to listen carefully and precisely follow directions of team leader
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in all types of weather
• Assist other team members, such as carpenters and concrete finishers, in construction activities
