Job Description
Charlotte, NC:
POSITION OVERVIEW
Assist the Construction Accounting Manager, Project Managers, Construction VP’s and SVP’s, SVP of Finance by receiving, analyzing, processing and administering construction subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, pay apps, invoices, and monthly reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review all project budgets in Procore against job cost in Timberline monthly
- Review all change orders against budget
- Log all change orders for monthly grunt calls
- Process monthly general condition projections for personnel tracking
- Calculate cash monthly to report to VPs for owner draws
- Process owner draws into Timberline monthly
- Process monthly grunt review
- Review numbers for final project closeouts
- Record wires/draw deposits
- Monthly journal entries
- Backup to Accounts Payable Coordinator
- File processed check
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required
- Other duties as assigned
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 year Accounting degree
- 3 to 5 years related Construction Billing experience and A/P experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of Procore, and Sage/Timberline accounting system software preferred
- Attention to detail is mandatory
- Ability to read, analyze, and process contract documents and financial reports
- Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written skills required
