Concrete Pump Operator

• Drives the pump safely to and from the job site.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that concrete pumps operate in accordance with federal DOT regulations.
• Loads and unloads concrete pump attachments and ensures that all associated tools are used in a safe manner.
• Ascertains that all safety and precautionary measures are put into place before, during, and after each project.
• Operates the pump in a safe and conscientious manner, sets up the system, and cleans out the pump after the job.
• Evaluates site conditions and works with contractors or supervisors to park and set up the truck properly.
• Evaluates concrete mix designs and the effects of hot and cold conditions on concrete mixes.
• Performs light maintenance on the pump. Recognizes and reports problems with the pump when they arise. Ensures that pump remains in good working condition.
• Keeps truck and pump washed and free of concrete and ready for next job.
• Completes required paperwork, including but not limited to pump inspection forms, job tickets, invoices, and maintenance forms.

Preferred Skills:

• Current CDL and clean driving record
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Satisfactory recommendation from former employer or references, especially related to desire to succeed, punctuality, and dependability
• Reasonable fluency in English language
