Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:We are seeking a Concessions Coordinator who will be responsible for (but not limited to) staffing, scheduling, training, setup, stocking, execution, breakdown, reporting, maintaining inventory and post-event reconciliation/analysis. In addition, he or she will partner with the Food and Beverage Manager and the Clearwater Threshers to design and execute high quality presentations and exceed fan expectations while maximizing revenue, minimizing expenses, and improving the overall concessions experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may and will be assigned.
  • Responsible for staffing all food portables, concession stands, beer portables, and catering areas on the concourse.
  • Forecast and adequately schedule for the concession staff to meet operational needs and desired targets for all food portables, concession stands, beer portables, and catering areas on the concourse.
  • Maintain inventory quantities and total overall on hand cost of inventory, including physical inventory counts.
  • Manage all concourse catering areas which include the Hot Corner Café, Diamond Dugout, Glory Days Picnic, and Palm Pavilion Patio.
  • Understand all menus, product offerings, packaging and pricing and ensure all concession areas have proper displays and merchandise.
  • Execute all security, safety and sanitation standards. Provide operational assistance and oversight to ensure appropriate staffing levels are met, as well as adequate products ordered to service each event.
  • Follow and execute preventative maintenance schedule as set forth by Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Responsible for scheduling the entire concessions staff which includes: concession stands front of house, concession stands back of house, food portables and beer portables while under the supervisor of the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Ensure all concessions stands, venue areas and portables are setup / broken down operationally for every event.
  • Hold team accountable to steps of service in order to deliver superior guest service.
  • Assist with team members to consistently deliver Positively Outrageous Service to every guest, every time.
  • Ensure team members have the tools necessary to complete their jobs.
  • Ensure presentation quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Assist with building and maintaining strong relationships with guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits and team members.
  • Respond and assist in any departmental guest service / operational issues.
  • Respond and assist in any departmental issues in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Execute all menus, promotions and programs as outlined by the Food and Beverage Manager in accordance with team standards.
  • Thoroughly and accurately use applicable systems (Bypass, Ping, & TMSS).
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Execute required daily reporting in a timely manner.
  • Ensure required department reports are completed and information is compiled at month end closing.
  • Responsible for conducting audits on all concession stands, portables, and beer portables at the end of every event.
  • Assist with ensuring proper cash handling procedures are being performed.
  • Assist with ensuring complete maintenance and on-site training of the current POS system and all concession equipment.
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team.
  • Promote a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members.
  • Interview, hire, train and develops team members according to department guidelines.
  • Display a positive attitude towards team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a high level on a consistent basis. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required that are critical to a successful job performance.
REQUIREMENTS Candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or similar field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior knowledge and experience with working with large scale venue staffing operation.
  • Ability to follow reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously for multiple parties.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to utilize strong analytical, decision making and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours.
  • Detail oriented, with strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment while often working independently.
  • Ability to lift packages/boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
