Education: Perusing an Associates Degree in the Computer Sciences or related field.
Experience: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college in the pursuit of a degree in Computer Sciences. Some experience with operation and maintenance of computer information systems, networks, and software.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
a. Ability to analyze and solve problems.

c. Possess excellent verbal and written communication.
d. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
e. Ease in dealing with computer system users.
f. Familiarity with a variety of hardware, software and computer applications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Act 33/34 clearances PA child abuse clearance and criminal record check
Mental Concentration: Considerable concentration intermittently.
Interruptions: Occur constantly.
Physical Effort: Light physical effort in a predominantly sitting position. Lifting up to 25lbs.
Special Demands: Potential eye strain. Current PA Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include any or all of the following. This list is intended to be representative.
- Assists with information technology to include the development and implementation of department operating standards and procedures.
- Assists with researching, analyzing, designing, and implements administrative and programmatic information systems necessary to meet internal and external information needs.
- Assists with researches and analyzing hardware and software costs; constructs price quotes and bid requests; completes customer invoicing; maintains related documentation and files.
- Maintains knowledge on current information systems technology; maintains MIS/PC library.
- Assists with organizing and maintaining accountability of hardware and software; assists with maintaining computer hardware and software inventory.
- Learns and utilizes office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, and graphic presentation).
- Keeps record of work completed.
- Transmits entered information into database.
- Provides troubleshooting and user support services for users of personal computers and computer systems.
- Supports specific software applications.
11. Assists with computer system backups and other scheduled maintenance.
12. Maintains strict confidentiality with respect to Head Start children, families and staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
13. Performs other related work as required on behalf of the agency.
