Job Description
We are hiring an Computer Electronic Technician I in our Canton, MA office location.

SUMMARY: Perform a wide range of assembly, test and troubleshooting tasks on complex electronic assemblies and final products (servers, storage appliances, etc).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Assemble and re-assemble products in accordance to process documentation and manufacturing procedures.· Test and troubleshoot server appliances to the sub-assembly level.· Identify root cause of problems.· Lift servers in and out of testing racks consistently.· Determine work schedule to meet product delivery requirements· Must be familiar with Operating Systems (Windows, Linux), Bios, etc.) to help diagnose problems.· Track analysis on various internal systems & spreadsheets [Excel]. · Assure products are at the latest revision and that they were configured to the BOM/process sheet requirement· Analyze incoming RMA systems to determine fault mechanism – H/W or S/W· Work with manufacturing engineering, assist with resolution of issues and the development of process documentation as well as labor standards.· Follow good E.S.D. practices and maintain a clean and organized work area. · Learn about Company’s business as appropriate. Shows up to work on time and attends work as scheduled.· All other duties as requested by supervisor or department head. Job-Specific Competencies:(Education and/or years of experience; technical and/or analytical; software or applications; department and/or position specific; internal or external certifications required)· 2 year degree or vocational school· 2 years' experience in the PC industry· Be familiar with operating systems and firmware, [BIOS, FRU, SDR, BMC] used in UEI products to help diagnose problems· General understanding of manufacturing systems [i.e. Factory Talk ]· Strong system knowledge of Windows, Linux etc · Excellent organizational and communications skills· Proficient with MS Excel
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; to sit, stand, walk; and to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Require regular lifting of servers.

- Ability to compose reports and correspondence.
- Knowledge of basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplication of numbers is required.
