As a Compliance Analyst at Credit Karma, you will work closely with Legal, Member Success, and other business partners as necessary to carry out compliance tasks associated with monitoring, complaint reporting, and issue management. You will also provide the compliance perspective on cross-functional initiatives to help drive the company's compliance efforts. The role carries administrative responsibilities which will give you the opportunity to work collaboratively across the entire organization. As a Compliance Analyst, you'll have many opportunities to learn about financial regulations, risk management, compliance governance, and other aspects of financial services. This role provides tremendous opportunity for growth at a fast paced dynamic company.
What you'll do:
- Build processes for responding to CCPA, FCRA 609(e), and PIPEDA requests and for handling sensitive member escalations
- Respond to subpoena requests and regulatory complaints
- Compile metrics for analysis and presentation
- Organize and manage the documentation of key compliance processes across the company, building and cultivating positive working relationships across teams
- Scope the necessary preventative and detective controls to mitigate compliance risk, detailing the requirements and managing implementation
- Partner with relevant partners on remediation approaches and timeframes on identified issues, assigning ownership and tracking to completion
Minimum Basic Requirements:
- 3-5 years of financial services experiences with a Fintech company or in a Compliance related role
- Bachelor's Degree
- Direct experience with consumer protection regulations such as FCRA, ECOA, UDAAP, or RegZ/TILA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to take general guidance and run with it
- Organizational skills that will allow for momentum to move forward on key projects and tasks even while reprioritization and ad hoc requests are a constant
- Someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity - can thoughtfully develop and implement processes that are scalable and repeatable
- Ability to synthesize and report on qualitative and quantitative data clearly, succinctly and confidently in verbal and written communications
- Strategic thinker who can identify risks related to certain business choices
- Bonus points if you've been part of a formal compliance testing program
