The Opportunity

The Compliance Analyst II will support the Ally Privacy Office through continuous monitoring, event response, and sensitive complaint review. Opportunities include: working across the enterprise to resolve events, continuous monitoring execution; and identifying and escalating event and complaint trends. This role will work with a team and report to the Events Manager.

The Work Itself

Respond to reported privacy events, cyber events with privacy impacts, and review sensitive complaints while working with legal to determine notification requirements;

  • Serve as privacy event compliance point of contact for BL Risk and IRM;
  • Execute on continuous monitoring based on compliance risk;
  • Identify and escalate Issues related to thematic compliance risks;
  • Support reporting function by executing on peer reviews and data entry;
  • Participate in timely responses to regulatory exams and internal audits, by assisting with the collection of materials and tracking/reporting; and
  • Supports the development and maintenance of team procedures and standards.

The Skills You Bring

  • 1-3 years related compliance experience; financial services experience strongly preferred;
  • Degree in Business or Information Technology/Cyber or Law or equivalent experience;
  • Understanding of compliance as it relates to laws, rules, regulations, and guidance; and compliance risk
  • Solid understanding of laws and regulations related to Privacy and Cyber - e.g., GLBA, and NYDFS;
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent written and verbal skills;
  • Ability to connect with influence at all levels;
  • Ability to identify and make recommendations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Proficient in SharePoint, Excel, TEAMS; desired knowledge of PowerBI;
  • Strong investigation and research skills; and
  • Preferred knowledge of incident response and/or complaint management.
