Job Description

Position Purpose Partners with HR colleagues and key stakeholders across the institution to support all compensation and salary planning initiatives including market research and analysis, internal equity analysis, annual merit review administration and client support including ad-hoc studies and/or projects. Supports on-going administrative processes, enhances Compensation department efficiency and improves current practices. Provides project management support and may lead small projects or workstreams within medium to large scale projects. Provides mentoring and guidance to colleagues as needed. Other miscellaneous duties as required.
Description Preference is for on-site/hybrid work arrangement, however, for the right candidate – remote option may be considered.
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Two years experience in a Compensation Analyst role
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Exercises the highest degree of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity.
  • Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills, and ability to tie analysis and recommendations to broader HR or organizational strategy and culture.
  • Strong organization skill, able to prioritize appropriately, manage multiple tasks and deadlines and adapt to change.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CCP certification
  • HR project management experience
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Suite; ability to learn new software with ease

Key Accountabilities

Description Applies appropriate frameworks and methodologies to develop and conduct analysis, assess and understand organizational needs and issues, develop and implement appropriate recommendations and solutions, and monitor and assess programs and processes.
Percentage Of Time 30%
Description Conducts compensation administration activities in support of all compensation programs and projects including daily handling of position requisitions, job evaluation and benchmarking, reporting, system maintenance and user support, and compliance and audit readiness activities.
Percentage Of Time 40%
Description Provides consultative guidance to a variety of stakeholders (HR, divisions / departments across campus) to guide the stakeholder to the appropriate solution. Involves HR and/or division leaders and colleagues as appropriate.
Percentage Of Time 20%
Description Develops and maintains projects plans and/or leads projects of low complexity, or project workstreams of low to medium complexity, including due diligence, appropriate stakeholder engagement, development and dissemination of communications and tracking of risks, dependencies and milestones. Serves on cross-functional teams as needed or required.
Percentage Of Time 5%
Description Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement including development of appropriate solutions and identification of implementation considerations. Develops, implements and documents system processes and procedures.
