JPMorgan Chase's Community Development Banking (CDB) business is a national leader in community development finance for affordable housing and economic development projects. CDB offers financing for projects of any size and complexity, including construction financing, bridge and acquisition loans, letters of credit to support bond transactions, and long-term permanent financing for Low Income Housing Tax Credit developments and bond purchases. CDB's clients include for-profit and not-for-profit developers; government entities engaged in housing and economic development; and community-based organizations.
Portfolio Management Associate
Part of CDB Permanent Loan Team
Works with portfolio managers; reports to manager of CDB permanent lending
Manages various aspects of permanent loan portfolio (400+ loans), including payment delinquencies, unpaid real estate taxes, and borrower insurance non-compliance.- Serves as liaison between customers and Commercial Term Loan Servicing; researches and resolves issues as they arise; reviews loan documents as needed. Coordinates various borrower requests and any changes needed in Strategy loan records.
- Reviews and approves replacement reserve draws as needed.
- Manages CDB inspection process.
- Manages collection of annual borrower financial and property information, primarily through use of the CUBE system.
- Serves as CDB lead on pledging permanent loans to FHLB or elsewhere.
- Manages Permanent Loan Database to ensure that new loans (conversions and term loans) are added to the database & remove loans that have been paid off/sold.
- Maintains Scratches and Dents Report, Loan Maturity and Pre-Pay Report, Prepay Tracking Report, DSC Report.
- Assists Portfolio Managers in permanent loan conversions, analysis of property operating performance on existing loans, and in new refinance/acquisition term loan requests.
Performs special projects as needed.

Requirements
- BA/BS required
- Past experience in loan servicing is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in loan systems (Strategy loan system experience strongly preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with real estate loan documentation and loan due diligence.
- Some experience in multifamily operating statement analysis is preferred.
- Strong detail orientation and good follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Ability to work independently and to work well with others.
