Position Description:

A Distinctive Schools Community Care Lead will create a safe, joyful place for students to be during regular school hours. They will maintain safety guidelines and protocols, communicate with families, track attendance, and supervise the community while students are engaged in remote learning activities. This person will:

• Create a joyful, safe place for students to access the remote learning onsite

• Maintain classroom setup to ensure social distancing, use of face coverings, hand hygiene and all other local/state/CDC guidelines

• Maintain safety guidelines and procedures in school building

• Provide oversight of in-school remote learning space

• Record daily attendance

• Lead or assist with organized transitions and movement in building

• Monitor breakfast and lunch in classrooms

• Monitor remote learning work and independent study

• Monitor and implement remote learning schedules

• Troubleshoot challenges that may arise in remote learning platforms, programs, or technologies

• Implement code of conduct and provide classroom management

• Utilize DeansList to record additions/deductions and behavior referrals

• Communicate with families at frequency determined by campus

  • (Salaried Roles will continue their normal day to day job descriptions and support a group of students through in-person care)

• Monitor students social distancing outside during dismissal

• Responsible for weekly reviews of emergency procedures

  
  

Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• Must be able to pass a background Check

• Successfully complete DS COVID Training
