- Responsible for developing and executing seasonal communications strategies for regionally specific initiatives within the North America media landscape and key global initiatives that are led by the North America based team
- Engage with and proactively pitch strategic media (digital, social, print) within consumer, lifestyle, culture, sneaker, fashion, and business media segmentations, as well as cultivate new relationships across verticals
- Manage the creation of media tools including press collateral, press releases, messaging and media presentations
- Maintain quality and consistency across all communications
- Work with PUMA spokespeople to prepare briefing materials and organize media interviews
- Work closely with the North America account marketing teams to communicate account specific programming and build interest
- Assist in oversight of communications calendar for US media
- Help manage North American external agency relationships and serve as day-to-day contact
- Support with North America corporate and internal communications initiatives as needed
- Act as a PUMA representative at events
- Assist in management of PR budget
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders from North America marketing to product and global communications counterparts to align North America messaging and seasonal priorities
- Responsible for being the global communications lead for the Basketball business unit
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years professional experience in communications roles requiring exceptional written and verbal communication
- Proven experience developing proactive, compelling, and creative communications plans and materials
- Knowledge of print, digital and broadcast media with a deep understanding of the evolving digital media and content creators landscapes
- Strong base of media contacts and relationships with top-tier U.S. consumer, fashion and lifestyle media with a proven record of delivering high-impact results
- Passion, experience and familiarity with the sporting goods, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods space
- Should have an international/global mindset
- Must be highly collaborative and have the ability to work within a cross-functional team, matrixed global organization
