Commercial Roofing Sales Estimator

Commercial Roofing experience REQUIRED for consideration.

Nations Roof is seeking an articulate roofing professional who thrives in a conceptual and detail based environment to join the Nations Roof team. The Commercial Roofing Sales Estimator will work in tandem with the sales staff to prepare proposals for new construction and roof replacement projects in the greater New York area. This position is based out of the Yonkers, NY location.

Functions: Responsible for the preparation of accurate timely estimates and acumen in contract negotiation on potential complex roofing projects for local, regional and national clients.

• Estimating of assigned projects and generate on time proposals
• Work in conjunction with sales staff to prepare accurate cost proposals for completion before prospective customer due date
• Review estimates within established parameters and assist in winning new business
• Evaluate contracts for accuracy in price and scope or work
• Prepare submittal packages
• Compose notice of award for manufacturer guarantees
• Qualify change order estimates for approval
• Prepare purchase orders request
• Participate in pre-job meetings with handoff from estimating to project management on assigned projects
• Complete project closeout documents
• Engage in post-job review/analysis of actual costs to estimated costs through job cost system for use on future projects
• Assist in winning profitable repeat business by cultivating customer relationships during management of projects

Requirements

• 3-5 years commercial roofing experience
• Proven estimating or sales experience
• Navigate software programs and accurately enter data in estimating software
• Proficient in MS office suite, typing and computer navigation skills
• Capable of receiving instructions and clearly explain problems and solutions to customers
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively internally and externally at C-level
• English fluency (verbal and written)
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge
• Must be team orientated and be willing to perform based on the company’s Core Values
