Job Purpose:

An Electrical Apprentice A4 installs and repairs electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, and fixtures with knowledge of N.E.C.
Electrical Codes. An Apprentice A4 exhibits leadership skills, has a strong work ethic and exercises a high level of independence
with oversight from Journey-level and Foreman position(s).

Responsibilities:

• Assist Journeyman and Foreman electricians.
• Assist in wiring and performing mid-level to advanced electrical connections.
• Operate Power Tools.
• Owns all basic Electrician Tools.
• Helps develop A1-A3 Apprentices.
• Assists in maintaining job site and staging area cleanliness.
• Works on scissor lifts.
• Makes sure lower level apprentices are properly assisting others.
• Ensures A1-A3 Apprentices are properly assisting other team members.
• Maintains a list of required materials to perform job duties.
• Communicates material needs to the Foreman on a daily and/or as needed basis.
• Runs and straps MC cable.
• Runs and straps EMT, PVC and seal-tight conduit.
• Performs make-up on wiring for basic devices.
• Able to patch Cat-5E Cable and terminate to a RJ45 terminal or connector.
• Trenches for Underground utility and/or power supply.
• Operates power actuated tools for the setting of acoustic ceiling wires.
• Drill and tap steel for mounting of electrical infrastructure.
• Work in both extreme hot and cold conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Additional responsibilities & duties may be required.

Education, Skills and Experience:

4 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN ELECTRICAL FIELD
Enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship program or desire to enroll
Driver License
Familiar with blueprints
Tools is a plus
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, safety practices and equipment used in the electrical trade

• Left moderate to heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
