Commercial Analyst, Food Service (Remote)

Key Purpose

The Commercial Analyst is accountable for various financial tasks at a given account, including but not limited to contract change management, the above base work order process, and purchase order management. Additional responsibilities include analyzing account financial performance, internal and client reporting as directed, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. This position will partner directly with Operations to ensure standard commercial processes are being followed.

Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence

• Support the Account Directors and Commercial Leads, and report to the Commercial Business Partner with reporting relationship to supported companies’ administrators
• Communicate effectively with colleagues within the Business Unit and across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required

Ideal Candidate Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• 2+ years of financial analyst experience required; comfort with GAAPs is essential
• Experience interfacing at all levels throughout an organization; private sector experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
• Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience at interfacing at all levels throughout an organization
• Able to command credibility and be able to influence.
• PC literate – understanding of how to use technology as a tool

Key Accountabilities

• Work with Operations to manage and maintain the client contract change management process
• Support Operations personnel with Above Base Quote process (quote, work order set up, and client billing)
• Manage Work Order and PO creation, reviews, and accruals for assigned client site locations
• Assist with monthly closing activity and analysis
• Analyze budget and forecast fluctuations
• Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve account financial performance
• Develop and implement processes to manage the account Aged AR
• Assist with customer reporting analysis and creation
• Assist in the budget & reforecast process
• Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed
• Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Sitting at a computer for long periods of time, at least 90% of the time
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
• Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
