Comfort Keepers Home Care is looking for skilled caregivers to care for a client in Canton, MI. The right person must have prior caregiving experience and must have experience with bed-bound patients. Currently hiring for all shifts.

At Comfort Keepers Home Care, we provide quality in home care services to local seniors and elderly adults in Plymouth, MI and the surrounding areas. As a caregiver on our team, you will provide 1:1 companionship, personal care, and other home care services for seniors in their own homes.

As for our safety and protocols regarding COVID-19 and our caregivers:

• Our staff is trained in infectious disease control
• Our caregivers have an established protocol to stay home if they are ill with any sickness to as to not infect any of our clients or their family members
• Our staff follows hygiene procedures directed by the CDC, including vigorous and frequent hand-washing with soap and water, use of sanitizing gels (with 70% alcohol level or higher), use of disinfectant wipes to frequently wipe down surfaces, proper coughing and sneezing techniques, disposal of any items that may have virus or bacteria, and much more
• if any of our staff or their clients should show symptoms of COVID-19, we will report, isolate and quarantine, as necessary, abiding by national and local guidelines

Skilled Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Establish open communication with seniors and their families
• Assist clients with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping
• Provide transportation, ambulation, mobility assistance and transfers if needed
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, incontinence care, feeding, medication reminders, and other services

Successful applicants will meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver’s License, Auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Submit to Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Drug Screening
• Submit to background check
• Open availability preferred
