The primary responsibility of the Executive - Collections is to collect on all outstanding casino receivables and non-gaming accounts receivables. This position will also oversee the account receivable function for property operations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiates collection calls and follow through with the collection of accounts assigned by direct manager.
- Answers account questions and assists in setting up alternative pay plans when necessary.
- Responsible for the follow-up, maintenance, and timely update of all collection files.
- Prepare and submit the daily collection report for Global Collections Services team.
- Ensure that the status of all casino receivables is properly updated and documented in the accounting system.
- Liaise with general ledger team during the month-end closing process to adjudicate any issues or problems.
- Responsible for the preparation, review and distribution of the Corporate Account Receivable Financial Deliverables Package.
- Assists in preparation of various required in-house or ad-hoc reports as needed on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.
- Coordinate and conduct the quarterly credit collections committee meetings. Present data packages for Senior Management during the meetings.
Minimum Employment Requirements:
- 18 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form.
- Interpersonal skills with focused attention on guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Specific Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting or similar field AND three (3) years of experience in a casino collection environment.
- Meticulous, accurate, independent, and possess good problem-solving skills.
- Must know how to handle accounts being prosecuted criminally, subpoenas and other outside collection pursuits.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and AS400 required. Must have excellent phone skills.
