CNC Programmer / Machinist

We are looking for a Machinist with some experience in Programming, preferably in Fusion 360, and familiar with WinMax Conversational Programming on Hurco Vertical Machining Centers.

The ideal candidate will be fully capable of working independently with tool and part setup and also be willing to work on Prototrak knee mills and Waterjet as needed.

Responsibilities

• Program parts in Fusion 360 from Step files as needed
• Load offline programmed parts to machining center and check for any errors
• Check parts, whether stock cut or from Waterjet blanks to see all operations needed to make a "good" part
• Use conversational programming at the machine for some simpler parts
• It will be your responsibility to know most efficient and best way to hold / clamp parts for the operations needed
• Monitor machine while working to identify possible issues
• Check machined parts to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages

Skills

• Fully capable of reading and understanding machine prints
• Knowledge of how to turn print into tangible part
• Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers / gage pins) to take accurate measurements for tolerancing
• Ability to use basic machine shop hand tools & drill press
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
• Bringing your own knowledge and experience to help our company grow and succeed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
