BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The CNC operator performs a combination of paced repetitive tasks using automated and/or manual machine to machine components. May also be responsible for performing tasks associated with material handling.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates CNC machine.
- Verifies quality of all completed products and monitors production.
- Masterpack data entry (scrap, reloads, production).
- Material Handler responsibilities: Staging product into CNC loader based on WIP schedule, Wrap, label and stage all completed product, Remove and dispose of all cutout debris from machinery.
- Shipping duties - pulling, packaging, loading, scanning, put-away of product.
- Operates forklift, power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload, move or store materials.
- Follows work instructions and pays attention to details.
- Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and/or to safety.
- Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production.
- Meets quality standards for the line.
- Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
- Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements, rules, and regulations.
- Must be able to work required overtime as needed.
- Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Able to read and write in English preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Plus, knowledge of fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.
- Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.
- Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
Language:
- Ability to understand English preferred but not required.
