CNC Machinist

Our Fabrication Department is small team with different pieces of equipment from precision sawing, punch machines, and milling/CNC machines.

About the role

The CNC machinist position is a key role in our department, he/she is going to report directly to the Fabrication Department Supervisor and work closely with our morning and afternoon milling/CNC foreman’s. Our goal as a team is to maximize our milling/CNC time to create the best efficiency per machine and program created.

Qualifications

· Must be familiar with Haas

· Strong knowledge with fabrication and machining process

· Strong knowledge to read and understand specifications

· Strong knowledge in speed, feed, and material removing process

· Extensive programming and setup experience

· Effectively present information in one on one or small group

Responsibilities

· Follow safety requirements within the department and company

· Program and create fixtures for moderate complexity projects

· First article, inspect project meets expectations, productivity, and quality

· Participate in continuous improvement practices such as 5S, Kaizen, etc.

· Report any machine or process issues or variances to supervisor

· May train others to troubleshoot or work with support group as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however training of others may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:
