Job Description
Overview: Sign on Bonus eligible!$1,000 - requires a 1 year work commitment(pro-rated for positions under 72 hours per pay period)
POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician functions as a member of the Patient Care Team and provides appropriate safe basic care to patients. Cares provided are determined based on the ages of the patients served. Basic care includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and functioning as a Behavioral Health Monitor. Behavioral health Monitors are responsible for providing safe, appropriate, and timely monitoring of the medical patient. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
American Heart Associate BLS for healthcare provider CPR Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Illinois
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 6 or more months experience in a clinical healthcare environment Able to communicate effectively in person; by telephone; and computer messaging
