This position is for Full Time or Part Time Day Shift (schedule subject to change) Sign-on bonus of up to $1,000.00

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Assists with all personal care of the patient, including bathing, mouth, skin and nail care, helping with elimination needs (bedpans, commode, enema, bathroom), assists with transfers, ambulation, ADL’s, helping the patient in and out of bed, helps with food preparation and feeding of the patient if required.
• Observes the patient for a general physical, emotional, and mental condition and report any changes to the charge nurse.
• Is responsible for safety, including the use of good body mechanics, with patient turnings and transfers.
• Performs household duties, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, errands, meal preparation, as assigned.
• Maintains the confidentiality of patients. Never discusses a patient or situation of a patient, except with the appropriate staff.
• Is expected to attend all Hospice staff meetings and in-services.
• Supports families or significant others as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable auto for transportation services.
• Current CNA License.
• Current CPR Card.
• Food handler’s card.
• Proof of TB screening if available.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
