Job DescriptionThe Cloud Business Operations Leader will strive to run all aspects of running Cloud Engineering Strategy, Planning and Business Operations like a business. This leader will be responsible for Strategy and Planning, Budgeting, Quarterly Business Review Orchestration, Communications and other Chief of Staff duties
This cross-functional leader will partner with other business operations leads across the company, as well as senior business leaders and employees to align efforts and connect dots.

What you get to do in this role:
- Work with senior engineering leadership on engineering strategy.
- Lead initiatives to maintain and improve the operational excellence of our engineering execution.
- Track and report on engineering operational metrics and KPIs, for consumption by engineering and executive leadership.
- Providing decision support & business insights through data gathering, information analysis, and presentation to relevant stakeholders.
- Running the annual budget cycle process for CCE (for example, helping functional group leads prepare their budget inputs, collating the data and preparing the overall budget view). Co-ordinating the budget planning meetings.
- Budget tracking – a quarterly review of spend versus forecast with CCE leadership and/or Finance.
- Coordinating headcount and tracking to hiring goals.
- Preparing inputs for and running Quarterly Business Reviews [internal & external] for CCE.
- Analyzing investment opportunities and assisting with ROI decisions.
- Developing, managing, and updating monthly dashboards to track key performance indicators / metrics across the CCE functional groups.
- Management & tracking of Organizational Goals across CCE leaders/groups with monthly Goal reviews and actions to maintain focus on achieving targets.
- Drive clear and concise communications for the CCE department.
- Scheduling & running high priority meetings and ensuring key stakeholder attendances, tracking actions and follow ups through to conclusion.
- Designing and executing key CCE communications & reporting mechanisms.
- Engage and connect with other operations leaders in Cloud and Business Functions.
- Become a trusted advisor to peers and stakeholders.
- Be proactive. Identify and recommend creative ideas to improve business operations.
- Provide leadership and help establish a culture that continuously strives towards best practices and operational excellence, while having fun.
To be successful in this role you have:
- A strong technical background is a must.
- A good understanding of scaled cloud delivery and familiarity with datacenter & capacity management.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Technology or related field.
- Combined 10+ years of experience in the following areas: Operations, planning, budgeting, portfolio management, systems implementations, process design and process re-engineering, value management, communications.
- Ability to compile data from leaders into a meaningful presentation.
- Good understanding of the technology or software companies and how software products are built.
- Experience working in across many organizations in the company including IT, Technology, and product teams.
- Excellent understanding of functional operational processes.
- Experience managing department budget and working closely with finance organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork skills, and an engaging personality. A proven ability to effectively interface with a diverse range of roles at all levels.
