Job Summary: Aptive is seeking a Cloud Architect who will lead efforts to design a cloud-based data warehousing environment and lead a migration of a large-scale, 100TB+ data warehouse from on-premise infrastructure into AWS.Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of engineers through discovery, planning, and design activities related to large-scale cloud migration
- Identify the appropriate tools and processes necessary to migrate 100TB+ of data from on-premise into AWS within the operating constraints of Federal regulations, privacy laws, and agency security policies
- Work directly with clients to architect a high-availability, resilient, fault-tolerant landing zone infrastructure components to include networking, security, zoning, relational database services, non-relational database and storage services, auto scaling, and computing resources to meet client’s requirements
- Assist the client with post-migration cloud optimization to support high-availability while right-sizing consumption costs
- Collaborate with DevOps/SecOps engineers, enterprise architecture team to evaluate fit for purposes tools, technologies, and processes
- Must have hands-on experience migrating enterprise systems into AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Must fully grasp the concept of immutable infrastructure and be capable of articulating this to clients
- Must have Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification (AWS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with AWS and cloud service delivery models in a solutions delivery role
- Experience with infrastructure as code and cloud automation using AWS Cloudformation or Terraform
- Experience with GCP Networking, Organizational and Policy Management, Log collection and Integration
- Bachelors Degree in a related technical field and a minimum of 5 years related technical experience
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Public Trust security clearance
- Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to details.
