Family & Children's Aid operates several Group Homes for adolescents who have been removed from their homes by the Department of Children & Families (DCF) due to suspected or substantiated cases of abuse and/or neglect.
We are seeking a full-time Masters Level Clinician to join our seasoned team of Psychiatrists, Nurses and Supervisors working within our DCF Licensed Level II Adolescent Girls Therapeutic Group Home servicing Clients ages 14 to 21 years of age in Danbury, CT. Many Clients have experienced past trauma and have high acuity level behavioral needs.
The Clinician is responsible for co-constructing appropriate and obtainable treatment goals and safety plans with the residents in order to help maintain a safe, structured and therapeutic environment. Additional responsibilities include; teaching pertinent life skills necessary for independent living, modeling healthy interpersonal relationships, setting appropriate boundaries and limits, de-escalating volatile situations and/or clients, coaching and educating milieu staff on client behaviors, coping skills and intervention techniques.
Position Requirements:
- CT licensed or licensable Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling or Psychology required
- For MSW graduates, LMSW licensure is required
- Sunday through Thursday availability required
- On-call responsibilities for clinical crisis support required
- Experience providing individual and group therapy highly preferred
- Valid CT Driver’s License and clean DMV record preferred
