Under the general direction and supervision of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor assists the YMCA team with daily clinical operations of the social work staff/students. The Clinical Supervisor assists in the coordination and completion of program referrals and documentation, collaborates with YMCA and other agency staff, supervises and evaluates social work staff/students in conjunction with YMCA lead staff, and acts in leadership position with the clinical staff. Staff will also provide direct service as appropriate to students/families as needed and coordinate care with student's other providers as needed. Clinical Supervisor also serves as the liaison between YMCS, TMHA, and any universities with students placed in the program. This position promotes mental health recovery, wellness, empowerment, and advocacy and will uphold and promote the philosophy of TMHA in all duties performed.
Hours
Part-time temporary, 6 hours per week. This is a temporary position through the academic year, approximately June 2022.
Required Experience:
Currently licensed in the state of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist. Completed or willing to complete required training for clinical supervision. Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative work style and oral/written communication skills. Well defined organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and flexibly. Ability to handle intense situations, display good judgment and decision-making skills, and remain calm and clearheaded under pressure. Able to deal effectively with a variety of people and personality types regardless of age, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or socio-economic level. Must use reasonable precaution in the performance of one’s duties and adhere to all applicable safety rules and practices while acting in such a manner as to assure at all times, maximum safety to one’s self, fellow employees, clients, and other persons contacted through TMHA business. Conditions of employment include: Ability to possess and maintain good physical and mental health. Must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid CA Driver’s License, at least 2 years driving experience, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements. May be required to utilize personal vehicle and auto insurance to commute between locations. Attendance is an essential function of this job that requires face-to-face interaction with clients and/or other employees. Must comply with a TB assessment (possibly a TB test if needed to confirm a negative tuberculosis result) and receipt of a criminal record clearance through fingerprinting. Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or request an exemption based on a documented medical condition advising against the vaccine or a strongly held religious belief or practice. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
