Job Description
Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Provider Advocate is responsible for directly providing psychological services and the promotion of behavioral changes to OSF HealthCare, ministry-wide, for Providers, specifically, Physicians, Resident Physicians, and Advance Practice Providers to maximize resiliency and optimize mental health. The Clinical Provider Advocate will also conduct psychosocial evaluations for Health Managment Participants that are grounded in the behavioral medicine knowledge base and assesses, diagnoses, and synthesizes medical and pscychiatric data to formulate effective development of a treatment plan.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Masters Licenses/Certifications: LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor Other Licenses/Certifications: LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor or LCPC License - Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in good standing with Illinois licensing board. Experience: 5 years experience working with an multi-generational client base and multiple disciplines in the health care field. Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Other requirements/information: Excellent communication skills including: written and verbal competency, knowledge of wide variety of diagnostic assessment tools, knowledge of clinical treatment modalities. Interpersonal skills including: careful observation, empathetic, sensitive and tactful, positive attitude and approach, skills in mediation and facilitation, ability to work and communicate with a diverse population of patients and professionals, comprehensive writing skills, knowledge of mental health providers and medical health community, positive relationship with mental health community, ability to coordinate mental health care with best practice services for individual patients, ability to manage and monitor behavioral health services for patients.
