As a Clinical & Market Research Associate Specialist, you will be working in a strategic upstream marketing role. In this role you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team to function as a subject matter expert for the gynecology specialty and lead the development of a long-term strategic plan in this space. Within the first year, you will be responsible for identifying unmet opportunities and threats in this specialty and conducting research to vet and prioritize these opportunities and expand Applied’s offering.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth expertise in gynecology and function as an SME to support internal teams, identity unmet clinical & market needs, and provide data-driven recommendations for long-term growth and development plans within assigned clinical area.
- Lead the coordination, support and management of various early stage research for new product and market development projects, including research and identification of opportunities, detailed market analysis and development of business plans.
- Lead the development of a long-term strategic plan to grow Applied’s opportunity in the assigned clinical specialty.
- Lead the identification of threats within assigned specialty, analyze the severity and develop strategies to overcome significant challenges.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the competitive landscape as it relates to area of clinical focus. Identify potential challenges or opportunities for Applied and develop strategies to overcome challenges.
- Remain current on scientific literature most relevant to gynecology specialty and communicate relevant information to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders within area(s) of specialization.
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of full-time professional experience in a related role (upstream marketing, product management or similar)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop presentations and clearly present findings
- Possess good problem-solving, critical & creative thinking to solve complex or abstract problems as well as ability to manage concurrent projects through effective prioritization
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability and passion to rapidly gain multiple knowledge bases to the extent of a subject matter expert
- Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Graduate degree, ideally related to science, engineering, medicine, healthcare or business
- Experience with new opportunity assessments and early stage medical device development
- Experience with products, devices or research in the gynecology space
- Proficiency in MS Office & MS Teams
- Proficiency in MS Office (including Project and Visio)
