Job Description

This position is accountable to the program director of the inpatient rehabilitation program. The main job duties are 1) respond to and carry out pre-admission screenings for patients referred to the rehab program and 2) to develop and implement patient attraction strategies as a means to promote the features and benefits of the rehab program to patients, families and the community. The amount of time spent performing either task will vary based on volume of activity.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree and a clinical licensure required1 applicable to the provision of acute rehabilitation services
2. Must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience which clinical expertise and strong interpersonal skills have been demonstrated; experience in rehab settings a plus
3. Ability to comprehensively review a medical record for rehab medical necessity2; consistently applied organizational skills; results oriented; independently goal directed; able to multi-task; able to communicate well with many diverse audiences- professional and lay; able to meet established timeframes; general customer service skills; able to work independently; able to pass both the FIM competency and pre-admission screening competency3; experience with computer and other electronic data entry devices; must have valid driver’s license
