Job Description
Recognized clinical expert who demonstrates the essence of professional nursing while in the front line of patient care through role modeling and clinical leadership. Identifies the need of the professional nurse and the support staff, while supporting and encouraging change. Oversees clinical operations and supervises the delivery of care provided by professional nursing staff and support staff. Helps coordinate assignments and the delegation of work to achieve desired results. Acts as a resource to advance patient care outcomes and assists the manager with the hiring process, personnel issues and performance appraisals. Will take a patient assignment when necessary. Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing (baccalaureate degree preferred; minimum 5 years clinical experience in acute care setting including (specialty) experience, BLS from AHA and minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience required.

BSN required; may consider AD graduates currently enrolled in BSN program with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years of employment.
