EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor Degree in the field of Dietetics. Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association, and licensed/certified as required in New York State.

At least two years of experience in a long term care facility.

While performing job, individual is regularly exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. Works in hot and humid area. Ability to stand up, stoop, lift, pull, and push items.

Excellent verbal and auditory skills for communicating effectively with the residents, families, visitors, and employees.

JOB SUMMARY: Overall responsibility for the direct nutritional assessment, interview, planning, goal setting, and documentation of residents' nutritional care as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with recommended dietary allowance and state codes.
