Duties: The Clinical Associate at the Cleveland Clinic Department of Hospital Medicine provides evening and weekend coverage at Cleveland Clinics Main Campus (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44195). Clinical Associates administer direct care to adult hospitalized patients; consult on hospitalized patients; discuss findings with other medical practitioners; evaluate patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery and outline the preoperative risks; optimize chronic conditions and prepare evidence-based recommendations for patients; coordinate internal medicine subspecialty care; provide support and direction to the management process for patients; optimize short stay models and care pathways to facilitate effective patient flow; ensure that coordination and safe care is being provided in a timely and efficient process; and setup effective liaison with administrative, medical, and nursing staff to facilitate prompt management. On-call duties as needed.

Requirements: MD or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate; Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Internal Medicine; and eligibility for an Ohio medical license.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($200,000 per year)
