Veterinary Receptionist (Dermatology / Float)
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of customer service experience and at least 2 years of veterinary experience. This position's schedule includes weekends. Candidates should be professional, friendly, courteous, able to multi-task. Candidates should have basic computer skills and organizational skills as well as excellent communication and customer service capabilities. The ideal candidate must love animals and be comfortable working around them.
Requirements:
- 3-5 Years of customer service experience
- General understanding of veterinary medicine
- Great attitude with a desire to work
- Desire to exceed client expectations of service
- 2 Years of veterinary experience (specialty experience is a plus)
- Excellent organizational, analytical and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Responsible, honest and accountable
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Happily greeting clients
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff and clients
- Assisting clients with basic questions regarding pets’ health and upcoming appointments.
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Discharge patients
- Collect and process payments in person, over the phone and online
- Securing and updating records from appointment, including uploading imaging and lab work.
- Gather all records needed for appointments
- Make sure examination rooms, waiting area and front desk area are kept clean and presentable
