Job Description
Job Summary
The Whatcom County Health Department is recruiting for the full-time, benefitted position of Clerk III.
The Clerk III position supports other staff through performing a variety of general and routine office, basic bookkeeping, clerical support, cash handling, and customer service functions to facilitate public service and departmental activities. Other duties include internal and external communication, client reception, and preparation, recording and retrieval of data and information. The successful candidate must be able to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize.
Supervisor: Administrative Supervisor
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Requires a high school diploma or GED AND three (3) years of progressively responsible general office, clerical and/or secretarial experience.
Experience working with vital records is desirable.
Experience with government agencies or environmental agencies is desirable.
Spanish language fluency is desirable. Salary
Teamster's Master Collective Bargaining Agreement Range 108.0
Full Salary Range: $18.51 - $28.07 per hour
This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the associated salary range.
