Class A CDL Truck Driver

Position Summary:

**This is a Dayshift Position**

Drivers will be home every day and no overnight routes. Most deliveries are within 10 miles of the facility. May have an occasional trip to other EFP Facilities (Elkhart, IN; Evansville, IN or Decatur, AL) Responsible for movement and transportation of raw materials and finished goods on trailers, to and from vendors and customers.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Fully understand how to operate and safely maneuver assigned vehicle
• Ensure contents are secured properly
• Bobtail to the customer to retrieve empty trailer(s)
• Deliver finished goods to customer locations in quality condition
• Safely move all trailers on site to requested destinations
• Communicates location of empty trailers on site and at customer locations
• Ensure all paperwork is signed, completed properly and returned to the correct parties involved
• Maintain and log mileage and on the road time
• Perform vehicle inspections prior to and after each trip
• Follow delivery schedule set forth by Production Manager or Operations Manager
• Make safety a top priority at all times

Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must have valid CDL (Class A)
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical
• Clean driving record
• 2+ years of proven commercial driving experience
• Pays close attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to climb in and out of truck frequently
• Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending and stooping
• Lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing up to 50 lbs.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Safety glasses
• Closed toe shoes
