Class A CDL Driver (Local) - Dump Trailer, Tipper Trailer, Walking Floor

We are looking for an experienced CDL truck driver to haul material for our Material Recovery Facility as well as our clients at various waste water treatment plants (sludge).

Responsibilities

• Transport C&D trash in tipper trailer to landfills
• Operate the tipper at the landfills
• Transport fines and wood chips in hydraulic dump trailers to various dump sites
• Transport sludge from various waste water treatment plants to local landfills
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver that uses PTO
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Valid truck driving license
