Claims Examiner

Position Type: Full Time

Location: Honolulu, HI

Relocation: No


Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Handle property and Casualty Claims, claims involving damage to buildings and structures, or casualty claims as auto and workers compensation.
  • Manage and supervise TPA adjusters and outside vendors, including a FA adjuster and a CPA, who directly handle the case.
  • Determine if coverage applies for claims reported
  • Evaluate damages to ascertain compensation amount
  • Consult with accountants, architects, engineers to get expert evaluation
  • Respond to claims calls and e-mails from agents and claimants
  • Negotiate claim settlements

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software.
  • Capability to build and maintain positive relationships through teamwork.
  • Experiences in the CMP insurance industry preferred.
