Westover School is seeking applicants for a Choir Director, beginning in late August 2021 and for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

The Choir Director is responsible for leading two music groups in music selection, rehearsals and performances at Westover School. The ‘Glee Club’ is composed of students and meets three times per week. The ‘Chamber Choir’ is composed of selected students from the Glee Club, as well as faculty and staff, and meets once per week. The Choir Director will also provide guidance for the student-led a cappella group ‘Undertones,’ which is formed from members of Glee Club. The Choir Director is responsible for accompaniment of both choirs and providing members with an understanding of vocal technique, basic musicianship skills and introductory ear training, sight-reading skills and theoretical knowledge. The Choir Director is responsible to assist with the musical aspects of the Theatre Department’s annual musical revue.
